Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 9, 2026

Overview

Boxing Timer is a boxing and fitness round timer app developed by Joon, an independent developer. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data. The short version: your data stays on your device, and we do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.

Data Collection and Storage

Boxing Timer stores workout history — including rounds completed, workout duration, and date — locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

A small amount of data (your most recent workout summary) is shared between the app and its widget extension through a local App Group container on your device. This data remains entirely on-device and is not accessible to any external service.

Boxing Timer does not collect, store, or process any of the following:

There are no user accounts, no cloud sync, and no server-side storage of any kind.

Apple HealthKit Integration

Boxing Timer can optionally write boxing workout data to Apple Health (HealthKit). This feature requires your explicit permission through the standard iOS Health access prompt. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in the iOS Settings app under Health > Data Access & Devices.

Data written to HealthKit is governed by Apple's privacy policies and your device settings. Boxing Timer does not read data from HealthKit — it only writes workout records when you complete a session and have granted permission to do so.

In-App Subscriptions

Boxing Timer offers in-app subscriptions managed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. All payment processing, subscription management, and billing are handled by Apple. Boxing Timer does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details.

For information about how Apple handles purchase data, refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

Boxing Timer does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking services. The only third-party involvement is Apple's platform services (HealthKit and StoreKit), which operate under Apple's own privacy policies and your device settings.

Children's Privacy

Boxing Timer does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect, transmit, or store personal data, there is no data to be concerned about regardless of the user's age.

Data Retention and Deletion

All workout data is stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app from your device. HealthKit data can be managed independently through the iOS Health app.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
